It’s been a fun and full week, so I'm sending out just a note this week. Jude and Lawson are playing baseball on the same team this season. Playoffs began this week. Their team has won their first round! Lots of time spent on the baseball field this week. Lots of baseball still ahead! MercyMed also held their gala last night and it was a jubilant celebration! To those of you who attended the gala, thank you! I regretted not being able to speak to all of you that I saw there. Even still, I was thrilled you were there to support MercyMed. Super loud shoutout to those who stayed and helped break down the event. I would like to thank Kimberly Klaus for helping organize Easter Testimonies. How these testimonies help cultivate life throughout the life of our church! To Sara Catherine, Rosalyn & Sharon who shared last Sunday – thank you! You did a terrific job! You can hear those testimonies through our audio page. Along with the Sturgeon family, we also celebrate Fletcher Sturgeon’s public profession for Christ and baptism, which took place last Sunday. This Sunday, testimonies continue! We welcome Carol Sprankle and Justin Shorey to share with us how the Lord’s at work in their lives. As the Lord permits, we will also be prepared to take another step down the roadway of our series through Matthew. On a somber note, Rick Roper’s father has passed away. Highland, let’s rally around the Roper family in this time of loss for them. Mr. Roper relayed to me that, as his father passed, the evidence of the Lord’s peace was palpable! Praise the Lord that Christ Jesus swallows death in victory! Our role, Highland, is to now comfort this family as they mourn; let us surround the Roper family in support. Know that I love you, Highland. I rejoice in you! May the Lord’s love continue to abound among us, as we pursue the good of one another, thereby putting on display the glory of our Heavenly Father!
