"May Your Faithful Love Rest On Us."

The horse is a false hope for safety; it provides no escape by its great power. Now the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him —those who depend on His faithful love to deliver them from death and to keep them alive in famine. We wait for Yahweh; He is our help and shield. For our hearts rejoice in Him because we trust in His holy name. May Your faithful love rest on us, Yahweh, for we put our hope in You.
— Psalm 33:17-22

Came up as part of my devotion this morning. Speaks so much as to how I pray for us, Highland Tribe. I love you. I am grateful for you. I look forward to seeing you this morning.

A Communal Prayer from Beverly Thornton

As we hold our church-wide fast today, may we join in the prayer that Beverly shared during communal prayer a few weeks back.

“Father, I come to you asking for revival for Highland Community Church and for every church throughout the world. Father, I’m asking in prayer that the Holy Spirit take over and deliver us from unclean spirits and demonic torment. Father, I pray that the Holy Spirit gives Highland and all churches and believers unity that we may strive together to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and may we all be filled with knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.”

Sunday's Service.

Casey Strickland recalled the Lord’s faithfulness unto him today, during service. His honest account of how the Lord forgives sinners, like himself, encourages all of us to look fully into the face of Jesus, who forgives sinners. We invite you to add an installment into our “Book of Remembrance.” Consider doing a Communal Prayer or writing a blog post that could be shared on our site. See details below.

Welcome, St. Andrews!

Highland, we are so honored to have St Andrew’s youth with us this morning. When we are unified, God is glorified (John 17). Billy will lead us in worship, Casey Strickland will share his Book of Remembrance entry and we will continue with our series in Philippians. Join us, as we seek Jesus in one accord.

I love you.

Our Gratitude Swells Beyond Measure!

Today, Church of the Highlands did Serve Day with Highland & Truth Spring. They did so much for so many, in honor of the name of Jesus today! People all around our community encountered the love of Jesus and expressed such gratitude for all accomplished by the hands of His people. We are so thankful to all who came out to love the North Highland neighborhood.

Highland & Truth Spring family, it was so good to see all of you!

Thank you for all you did to make today run so smoothly! I so enjoy seeing the Body of Christ move in one accord, as a joyous expression of worship! I love all of you, Highland and Truth Spring.

Highland Welcomes St Andrews!

Tomorrow, we will have St Andrews with us for Mission Meals. They will serve breakfast then attend service. So thankful to have these wonderful students with us! Our relationship with them is an example of the unity Jesus asks for in John 17 - ‘Father, make them one as we are one…’

St Andrews, we love you! We look forward to worshiping Jesus with you.

A Charge to Pray, from E.M. Bounds

Highland, love this! - Rob

The Church, today, needs praying men to execute her solemn and pressing responsibility to meet the fearful crisis, which is facing her. The crying need of the times is for men, in increased numbers - God-fearing men, praying men, Holy-Ghost men, men who can endure hardness, who will count not their lives dear unto themselves, but count all things but dross for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Savior. The men who are so greatly needed in this age of the Church are those who have learned the business of praying, - learned it upon their knees, learned it in the need and agony of their own hearts.
— E.M. Bounds, "The Weapon of Prayer"
