Boxes of Love provides those connected with Highland the chance to be a blessing, by giving. Folks within our church sign up to give someone in their lives and Box of Love and pray with them, or even share the Gospel with them. Signups will begin soon.
All are welcome to come pack on December 23rd, starting at 9am. We will then need help passing boxes out to those who are going to receive a box. That will begin an noon on the same day. To volunteer, please contact us. If you need more info, please contact us for that as well.
Each Christmas, we celebrate the joy of Christ being born by inviting all families in our neighborhood to come and hear that God has offered 'good will and peace on earth to people He favors' (Luke 2:14). Volunteers are welcome. Plus, if you would like to contribute, please contact us. And, of course, all are welcome to attend.
Pastor Rob will be sharing the exciting things God is doing in our midst during this season of growth. Our God continues to be faithful to provide in all things. All who love and support Highland are welcome to attend, ask questions and take part in the discussion regarding our future.

Recently, there has been a murder on our streets. Part of the Highland family has asked us to respond by seeking the Kingdom of God, amid our hurting streets. Come and join us as we take this chance to pray, together. We will meet at Highland at 1pm, then go to 4th Ave, praying for the Lord to change the atmosphere, and with anyone who would allow us to pray with them.
Please sign up in the foyer of the church or email us using the subject: Membership.
Potential members will be expected to participate in the church's new member orientation program as developed and implemented by Highland Community Church. The membership and orientation process at Highland Community Church is as follows:
- A person who desires to become a member of the church has to make that desire known to a Team Leader/Church Leader.
- From the date the person expresses the desire to be a member, at least a 6 month commitment is expected from that partitioner to demonstrate an evident commitment (Luke 3:8, Galatians 5:22-26) to Jesus and our church body.
- When the New Member Window opens, the person must take part in the Membership Class of Highland Community Church, where they are introduced to the fundamentals of Christianity:
a. The identity and person of Jesus Christ.
b. The inerrancy of the Scriptures (God's Word is the final authority).
- The class also includes information on the church structure, by-laws and vision.
*Potential members must be in line with and submit to these fundamentals in order to be brought before the membership of the church to be received as a member. All persons are expected to follow all federal, state, and local government laws during church activities and on church property and expected to strive to be law abiding in their personal life (Romans 13). If you have any further questions, please talk to Pastor Rob.
The Highland Hangout is chance for our church to get off of the hot streets of our neighborhood and enjoy an afternoon by the pool at Bob and Becky Strickland's home. It is a time to enjoy a hotdog lunch and some sun. It has also become our tradition to hold baptism at this event. All are welcome. For more info, contact us.
