Today's Service.

Our Life Class began a series today entitled: “The Trap House”, by Pastor John Gray. It is a sermon that offers a visual of our church prayer-life. This is part one of the series.

Highland, take note of all of the lives being impacted through your generosity to Truth Spring. These children are encountering the love of Christ each and everyday. Thank you, Highland! To God be all glory and honor.

Back to Our Philippians Series: Just One Thing

Highland, We return to our series through Philippians tomorrow. We have completed chapters 1 and 2. Tomorrow, we will move into the 3rd chapter. Here is where will be:

Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write to you again about this is no trouble for me and is a protection for you.

Watch out for “dogs,” watch out for evil workers, watch out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we are the circumcision, the ones who serve by the Spirit of God, boast in Christ Jesus, and do not put confidence in the flesh — although I once also had confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he has grounds for confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised the eighth day; of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew born of Hebrews; regarding the law, a Pharisee; regarding zeal, persecuting the church; regarding the righteousness that is in the law, blameless.

But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ. More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them filth, so that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ — the righteousness from God based on faith. My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead.
— Philippians 3:1-11

Join us as we gather under the name of Jesus, pray and crack open His Word. His Word has the power to sever our desires from our longing for sin and renew our desires for Him, Who loves us unfailingly. Let us continue to seek His face together, as we press on to know Him.

I love you, Highland.

I look forward to seeing you.

Rob

Thank You, Edgewood Baptist Church!

Edgewood Baptist Church welcomed us with open and loving arms this morning. As a church plant of Edgewood, we had the privilege of sharing in their Love In Deed Outreach this weekend. Efforts concluded today when Highland’s Breakfast Choir assisted in leading worship and we were able to update them on the life of Highland. Following the service, we all returned to Highland for a barbecue lunch. It was truly an enjoyable day to be together!

Edgewood, I am grateful to all who had a hand in making Love In Deed such a joyous expression of our Lord’s love and name. May the glory our Lord be expanded through your efforts and may those who took part recall the good taste of our Lord, turning to Him.

Grateful to be part,

Rob

Details for This Sunday.

Highland Family,

This Sunday, the Breakfast Choir and the some of the members of the Praise Team will be taking part in our annual Love Indeed Service, held at Edgewood Baptist Church. We are a church plant of Edgewood and this service provides us a chance to rejoice over all the Lord has accomplished, together. Any and all are welcome to join us at Edgewood. Their Service starts at 10:30am.

Services will be held at Highland, too. Our 11am service will be taking place. Once both services finish around noon, we will all enjoy a BBQ lunch at Highland. Both Edgewood and Highland will be taking part in this picnic. So, feel free to come and enjoy a plate of BBQ and a beautiful day.

I love you.

Can’t wait to see you this weekend,

Rob

This is our Communion Service. This month, we will focus our church prayer-life upon examining ourselves in the presence of God’s holiness.

Here are some questions that help guide our examination:

What are my idols?

What area of my life have I declared God to be a liar?

What is my solution?

Repent. Be baptized. Know the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
