Pierce Chapel’s Global Impact Celebration at Pierce Chapel happens next Sunday.
Highland,
Next Sunday, February 9th, Pierce Chapel will host their Global Impact Celebration. Their emphasis will be our Highland Community. Billy, Carrie and others will take part in The Panel of Community Leaders at 10am and then Carrie will be the Guest Speaker during the 9am and 11am service, at Pierce Chapel.
I know that they would be thrilled for you to be in prayer for them, as they speak to all the Lord is doing in our midst. Please know that you would be welcome to attend, too. For more info, click the link below:
Highland, today’s sermon serves as a hinge-point into our next series of sermons. They will be based on Jesus’ description of the role of the Counselor, found in John 16:5-11.
““But now I am going away to Him who sent Me, and not one of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ Yet, because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth. It is for your benefit that I go away, because if I don’t go away the Counselor will not come to you. If I go, I will send Him to you. When He comes, He will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and judgment: About sin, because they do not believe in Me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me; and about judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.””
These points covered today help keep His Word before our hearts and eyes, as we move forward:
Highland,
I look so forward to seeing you tomorrow!! I love what we have and I am grateful that the Lord has seen fit to establish us, as His people. Let us press on to know Him, together, that He may be our greatest delight - our deepest desire! In so doing, He arranges all of our secondary loves properly; the result is our good and His glory in our lives.
Tomorrow, we continue strengthening our grip on Biblical wisdom and take Communion. Come ready to lift up the name of Jesus in one accord with hearts open to the Holy Spirit’s conviction and counsel. See you tomorrow.
I love you Highland,
Rob
*Reminder: Men’s Bible Study starts this Wednesday. It will be at the church at 6pm. Let’s get started, men.
Carrie, the family and I had the privilege of attending St Andrew’s Missions Conference this weekend. We were given the chance to offer an update on the fruitful work the Lord continues to do in our midst.
St. Andrews, thank you for allowing us to be part! We felt like friends - both welcomed and wanted. It was a time of refreshing for us and exciting to hear all that is happening to make known the love of Christ to an ailing world.
Highland leadership, it would not even be possible for us to attend events like this one without you. Thank you for leading the Highland Tribe with devotion and compassion.
So grateful.

Reading from my favorite author this morning - Oswald Chambers. He speaks about God’s love. He says:
“When I am rightly related to God, the more I love the more blessing does He pour out on other lives. The reward of love is the capacity to pour out more love all the time, hoping for nothing in return. That is the essential nature of perfect love.”
Lord,
May your perfecting love be continually poured into us, your Highland tribe, that it may overflow into our streets. Lord, anyone who encounters us, allow them to taste of your goodness, your unfailing love, drawing them to your son, Jesus, who saves sinners.

Calvary’s Baseball team came our way today to do a service-project. They were able to work with our Truth Spring students and clean up lots that will serve as future Truth Spring homes.
They also cleaned our church facilities! Such a blessing having them our way - by the way, Noah was part of this group! Wow! When Carrie and I did our presentation for Highland and Truth Spring, our son was in the audience.
So crazy!
I love you, Highland,
Rob
Highland Family,
Carrie and I will be attending St Andrew’s Missions Conference this weekend. We will have the chance to speak to St Andrews, offering them an update regarding our church and Truth Spring.
Since our family will be attending service at St. Andrews this Sunday, Billy Holbrook will be leading worship and Justin Jordan will be preaching. Knowing I can be away and that the church is in such strong, capable hands means so much to me!! Thanks, Billy, Justin, all who lead so well. Grateful to serve Jesus at your side.
I love you,
Rob

We sang with Marcella this morning during Life Class: “I get great joy just walking in His Light.”
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light — for the fruit of the light results in all goodness, righteousness, and truth — discerning what is pleasing to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:8-10).
