‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in here the poor, maimed, blind, and lame...' (Luke 14:21).

Our Mission

Originally a church plant of Edgewood Baptist Church, Highland Community Church established as a church in 2009. As we focus on being the church by living our lives set apart, like a city on hill, we entrust the Lord to build His church.

Our mission is now two-fold:

1. To give the Gospel to the poor through our lives laid down and the name of Jesus being lifted up as Savior.

2.  To unite the Body of Christ on common, Biblical ground, no matter their denominational affiliation.

Church Background

“Thank God for the men and women who are spending their lives in the slums of the earth, not as social reformers to lift their brother to better sites, but as the light of God, revealing the way back to Him.”
— Oswald Chambers, Studies in the Sermon on the Mount
