Weekly Update

Happy independence Day, Highland!

Happy Fourth of July, Highland. I hope that you and your family are able to gather and celebrate the opportunity to live in a country that continues to promote freedom. Above (and in the original post if you’re reading this through email) check out one of my favorite singers singing one of my favorite songs in honor of America.

This verse in the song, America The Beautiful, offers such a celebration of our nation. See below:

“O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife,

Who more than self their country love And mercy more than life! America! America!

May God thy gold refine Till all success be nobleness, And every gain divine!”

Casey in the Center.

casey lynch is being baptized

I am thrilled to share with you that this Sunday Casey Lynch will be making a public profression for Jesus and will be being baptized at the conclusion of our service. I invite you to join us as we celebrate what the Lord is doing in Casey’s life.

On a side note, Casey’s business, Krevi, did all of the systems for our building, like alarm and doors. He did terrific work and is so prompt to assist us when issues may arise. Going with his company was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process — thanks, Casey!

This Sunday and into the summer

I will be leading us in corporate worship, as well as concluding our journey through the Sermon on the Mount, which is a major portion of our series through Matthew. Come, ready to see how the crowds respond to Jesus.

“And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes” (Matthew 7:28—29).

July 13th: Joint Service & Kid’s Club Registration Now Open

As I mentioned Sunday, Kid’s Club Registration has been released. Click here to get to access the Registration Form. July 13th, we will welcome Berean Bible Church and St. Andrews to be part of our service, as we exalt the name of Jesus in one accord.

July 20th: Lord’s Supper & Agape Feast

Sunday, July 20th, we will hold the Lord’s Supper, followed by enjoying our Agape Feast, together. These services allow us to order the affairs of our heart – to express our first-love for the Lord then to love one another. May our hearts abound in love for the Lord, then may the overflow of our hearts’ love for the Lord be imparted to each other, Highland.

sunday school resumes in august

As August will be here before we know it, we will begin our Sunday School Semester. Classes will be held Sunday mornings, at 9am. Be prepared to jump into serving together, studying together and being together, Highland. It’s up to us to nourish our root system; let’s use the Word of God to do so.
