Prayer Guide
Highland,
As we pray today, may our hearts savor the holiness of Christ Jesus, Highland. Let’s ask the Lord to give us a yielding agreeability with His Word, obeying His commands. As we yield, obeying His Word, we express a love for the Lord that transforms our lives!
What courage it takes to say “no” to sin and “yes” to the Lord’s commands! Taking that first step of faith, though, leads to the first taste of victory in Christ Jesus over the entangling-sin of our hearts. So rewarding!
Therefore, let’s ask the Lord to remain as Victor in our hearts as we journey with Him throughout our days, Highland! Let’s pray for one another, asking the Lord to deliver each other from sin, that we all may walk in His freedom.

Looking forward to Celebrating Easter With You!
I just finished reading Tim Keller’s “The Reason for God.” In the book, Keller describes the character of Jesus. To skeptical readers, Keller describes Jesus this way:
“We are surprised to see tenderness without any weakness, boldness without harshness, humility without any uncertainty, accompanied by a towering confidence. Readers discover for themselves His unbending convictions but complete approachability, His insistence on truth but always bathed in love, His power without insensitivity, integrity without rigidity, passion without prejudice.”
Moving toward Easter, let’s consider the beauty of the heart of Jesus. As Keller describes, Jesus displays the fullness of life, yet, lays down His life, that we might come to know life eternal, in Him! Oh, Highland, that we may surrender our hearts, yielding to Jesus as Lord. It’s here, in this sweet-surrender to Jesus’ lordship, that we actually live!
Sunday’s Service will center upon us celebrating Jesus together. We will celebrate life-in-Christ. Through readings and through song, we will worship together. Following corporate worship, we will celebrate the love of Christ at work in the life of one another. There will be a testimony, plus two public confessions of salvation! I look forward to celebrating life-in-Christ together, Highland.
