Noah & Emma Got Married!

Highland — Our family rode the “adventurous currents-of-change” last weekend. Noah and Emma got married and Luke was dropped off at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in North Carolina. Carrie and I want to thank all of you for helping us navigate this season of change! Our lives, and more specifically, the lives of our boys would not be as FULL without the support and love of the Highland Tribe. Thank you!

Furthermore, Carrie and I want to thank those who’ve welcomed Emma! She is a delight to have in our family and we appreciate you all for welcoming her into the Highland Tribe with such sincerity and warmth.

Finally, to those who’ve rallied around Noah and Emma in love and in support over the last two years, thank you. Due to limited seating at the venue selected for the wedding, we were not able to invite everyone from the church to join us.

However, we most certainly look forward to rejoicing with each of you, and with Noah and Emma, as they enter into this new season of marriage. Let’s continue to fortify their young marriage, directing them toward Christ’s love at every juncture.

Luke’s in North Carolina for the summer.

Following the wedding on Saturday, we left to take Luke to camp for the Summer. He is serving as High School Staff at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters. We dropped him off in North Carolina Sunday afternoon.

While the changes are certainly exciting, they’ve hit all at once. Carrie and I ask for your prayers as we settle into a new season of life. After dropping off Luke, Carrie and I enjoyed a little getaway - just the two of us! It was incredible!

Don’t worry – we did not forget about Jude! We are calling this summer, “The Summer of Jude”. We will explore, we will fish, we will play baseball, we will stay up late, watching movies and eating junk food! We will live it up!

While we were away, Justin preached last Sunday. Hearing the responses from many, Justin’s sermon was a charge to us all, from the heart! Jude told Carrie and I (he was at Service) that he was engaged throughout Justin’s entire sermon! Justin, thank you! To hear his sermon, check out of our audio page.

Andrew Cowart Preaches Sunday.

That brings me to my final point in this update – our family will also be away this Sunday. Our annual trip to Orlando is upon us. My parents put this trip together for the entire family. While we’re spending time together, Billy and the team will be leading us in corporate worship. Andrew Cowart will be preaching. Thanks, men! Serving alongside you (and all who lead Highland) is among the richest of joys the Lord has ever provided me.
