Highland,

How I hope your week’s going well! Our family enjoyed some downtime last weekend. So, Carrie and I started the week refreshed and ready to go!

We originally planned to be at the beach Friday through Monday. However, the hurricane came through Florida, rewriting our plans. We ended up going down Saturday.

Friday turned out to be a great find, though! It became a day to rest. Our family hiked together. We took to Standing Boys! We all hiked to the new observation tower! So worth it!

We got down to the beach Saturday and really enjoyed some time with Carrie’s family! We caught up, fished, and ate what we caught! Georgia won—Go Dawgs! There was wrestling! There was a fancy night out! Coffee was enjoyed on the balcony while watching the waves. It was all the small things wrapped into a great trip!

I heard such meaningful and rich feedback regarding last Sunday’s service! To all who served and led, thank you! Gosh—you are such a blessing! May we continue to serve one another, abounding in love for each other! To do so is among the purest expressions of our love for Christ, Highland!

On a practical note, Andrew’s sermon is available on our website. I look forward to listening to it! Give it a listen when you’re able! He continued through Matthew 21. One person described Andrew’s sermon by saying that he “fed us well” from God’s Word.

This Sunday, during our Service, we will observe the Lord’s Supper. Highland, let’s come ready to lay our hearts before the Lord. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts and permeate the life of our church.

Our Agape Feast will immediately follow. We will conclude our service closer to 11 a.m. in order to share a meal together. Please remember to allow van riders to get their food first so they can load the van shortly afterward.

To those overseeing the Agape Feast, thank you! Food spells love! Thank you for spelling out your love for us and for the Lord, Highland!

In light of observing Communion this Sunday, we will pause our series through Matthew. We will pick back up in chapter 22 on October 25th. Go ahead and get a jump on the text. I look forward to unpacking the chapter together.

Finally, I want to thank Jacob Roper who led our Men’s Bible Study Wednesday! Jacob, thank you for huddling us up around God's Word.

Highland, I love you. I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
