Weekly Update

a quick glance back

Over the last two Sundays, we have laid the groundwork for deepening the understanding our vision. In particular, last Sunday, Carrie and I revisited the working relationship between Highland and Truth Spring.

We also consider ways that we all can serve one another, here, in the life of Highland Community Church. The audio of our service from last week has been posted. Feel free to give it a listen. Click here to access the audio.

It’s likely that we will also hear from others who are leading in and around the life of Highland. These opportunities to all huddle around the Lord’s work, applying our hearts and hands to help, afford us the chance to grow, in Christ, together!

This Sunday, we will pick back up our Series through Matthew. We will break open chapter eleven. I look forward to all of us getting back into this journey through Matthew together. Our text will be Matthew 11:1-19.

Derek’s Movin’ on Up!

Derek’s moved into a Truth Spring home this week! Furthermore, he will be part of the Highland Team! In addition to helping lead the Highland Cafe’, he is also assisting with a weekly Truth Spring Bible Study for men and helping with groundskeeping. Derek, continue to walk in the light of Christ Jesus.

Highland cafe’

Highland cafe’

To those who continue to step up and show up to lead the Highland Cafe’ – thank you! To ‘open wide our doors with a welcome from Jesus Christ’ means we must be fortified to graciously host! The first ingredient to hosting is presence! So, to all who show up to love our neighbor in honor of our Lord, thank you!

So grateful for you, Highland.

I love you,

Rob
