our series through matthew
Last Sunday, we worshiped together singing “Every Praise”, “Where Can I Go That My Maker Won’t Be?”, “10,000 Reasons”, “His Mercy is More” & “The Lord’s Prayer.” In our sermon, we recapped our journey through Matthew 5, then transitioned into Matthew 6. This Sunday, we take on the text of the Lord’s Prayer, found in Matthew 6.
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.”
This Sunday, we gather to worship and pray, Highland. In our series through The Gospel of Matthew, we will pray through the Lord’s prayer, together. Come, ready to worship! Let’s be prepared to think beyond our own circumstances, drawing our hearts to dwell upon the Kingdom of God! Let us know and take our rightful place as seekers of God! In the presence of the Lord, we are called, even commanded, to pray. To do so crucifies flesh, while, at the same time, promotes the glory of God and good of others – those we do not even know (but the Lord does), even our enemies! Let us, therefore assemble, as “House of Prayer” this Sunday. To listen to prior sermons, check out our audio page.
