Weekly Update

Welcome back, David!

Just got off the phone with David Klaus. He’s home, recovering! His trip included moments that deeply reflected the glory of God! In the weeks to come, he will convey to us more about his trip. This Sunday, however, he will take a moment during our service to reconnect with us.

During our call, he made it clear that the Highland-Tribe really took care of his family while he was away! Well done, Highland! I appreciate your willingness to pray, love and serve the Klaus family during this critical time.

Sunday Service begins at 10am — all are welcome.

Continuing through Matthew

This week, as the Lord allows, we will wrap up our journey through Matthew, chapter ten. If not, then we will bring chapter ten in for a landing on October 12th. Once we conclude this chapter, we will take a few weeks off from our series through Matthew.

As a reminder, we will hold a Service of Remembrance on October 19th. We will take the time to reflect the faithfulness of our Lord and celebrate Him — for He has done great works in our midst, Highland.

Thanks, Jim!

Come, ready to eat October 19th.

A long time friend of Highland will be grilling for us October 19th. His name is Jim Money. He and some of his friends from Cross Pointe will be preparing and serving us, Highland, so we can concentrate on being together. Bring blankets and prepare to picnic along the front lawn, if it’s a nice day. Looking forward to celebrating with you the Lord’s abounding goodness.

book of REMEMBRANCE — 20 years

October marks twenty years of Highland Community Church’s existence. Originally a plant of Edgewood Baptist Church, we have seen the Lord establish His purposes in us. May we both continue to exist to know Christ as Lord, and to make Him known to those around us, throughout our days.

To commend this occasion, we invite you to complete an entry in our Book of Remembrance. By clicking here, you access our form, completing your entry. We hope to compile them, offering all a chance to see how the Lord is at work in our lives. We welcome your participation.

The Bible Study will be held at Christ Community Church on Thursdays, at 9:30am.

Highland cafe’

Open for business! 8:30am—11:30am, M-F

Highland cafe’

To those who continue to step up and show up to lead the Highland Cafe’ – thank you! To ‘open wide our doors with a welcome from Jesus Christ’ means we must be fortified to graciously host! The first ingredient to hosting is presence! So, to all who show up to love our neighbor in honor of our Lord, thank you!

So grateful for you, Highland.

I love you,

Rob
